Betty Friedan, who has the deaths of millions of aborted unborns on her shoulders, who bears much of the responsibility for the moral repugnance and physical disease that the divorce and sexual revolutions brought, is dead at 85. It was her heart that killed her.

Still, to radical feminists, Friedan was "hopelessly bourgeois," says Susan Brownmiller in an NYT quote. But that's mostly because she wasn't too hot on the lesbianism-feminism link, even though as NOW president she supported lesbian rights.

Besides founding NOW, Friedan also was one of the founders of what is now NARAL, the bloodiest of the abortion groups. What a tragic legacy.
