At today's UN press briefing, no light was shed on IAEA's delay of action on Iraq:
Nor was any insight provided on Muslim ridiculously rioting over silly cartoons. The UN press corps asked no questions on the matter, perhaps sensing that the UN is useless in such a situation. I'll let you know when I find the situation in which the UN isn't useless.
Question: Did the IAEA give a reason as to why the meeting today did not reach a conclusion, was not going to reach a conclusion? And is it unusual for it to do that?Fiddling while Rome burns.
Spokesman: This is obviously a deliberative process between all the members of the Board of Governors. They felt that the meeting needed to go on another 24 hours. It’s not the first time the end of a meeting has been delayed.
