Kofi Bad News You May Have Missed

There was a bit of bad news for Kofi Annan ... well, not really bad news, but medium-bad news ... buried in the transcript of a press conference UN Ambassador John Bolton gave yesterday:
Reporter: Here’s a question you obviously weren’t asked at the Foreign Press Center. Yesterday the UN staff union passed a resolution of no confidence – expressing no confidence in Secretary General Annan. What do you think of that?

Ambassador Bolton: Well, I don’t think I’m going to get involved in labor-management relations at the United Nations. And we’ll let the Secretary General handle the staff union.
Kofi's not the first boss to be unpopular among his employees, so this isn't a big deal ... but has anyone been keeping count of the number of straws he's got on his back now? I lost count at 3,835,291.

There's lots of interesting reading in the transcript: Iran, Human Rights Commission, China, Sudan. It's worth a read.
