Dem's Culture Of Corruption

To hear the Dems, corruption is the sole forte of GOP electeds. Yes indeed, the donkey is Mr. Clean in fur.

Whoa, not so fast there, braying boy. You might want to read this, from CNS News:

A Louisiana Democrat who is said to be the target of a federal probe and has been named one of "the most corrupt members of Congress" by a liberal watchdog group was the beneficiary of a fund-raiser held Wednesday at the Washington, D.C., headquarters of the Democratic National Committee. ...

The fund-raiser at the Democratic headquarters was for the benefit of Rep. William Jefferson [I am so tempted to put "Clinton" after that!], a seven-term member of the U.S. House of Representatives who is reportedly being investigated by the U.S. Justice Department for possible bribery in exchange for promoting business deals in Africa.

In addition, Brett Pfeffer -- the congressman's former legislative director -- pleaded guilty on Jan. 11, for his involvement in a corruption scheme involving an Internet company being set up in Nigeria. Since then, Pfeffer has reportedly been cooperating with the federal grand jury investigating possible charges against his 58-year-old former boss.

Let's state the obvious. This was not a matter involving a lobbyist whose illegal activities were not known at the time by the recipients. Think Abramoff.

This was the DNC, the national Dem apparatchiks, holding an official fundraiser for a man who is under federal investigation.

Innocent until proven guilty and all that, but a fundraiser for Mr. Slime?
