The Forgotten Side Of Terror

The news this morning of a bus bomb in Baghdad that killed 30 and injured 25 is yet another unneeded reminder of how awful and unjustiable terrorism is.

As we consider the enemy, Bookworm, via LGF, leads us to an amazing story that we so often lose sight of amid stories of the deaths suicide bombers cause. It is the story of the grievously wounded.

It is the story of Kinnert Roosany, and it brings you close and inside to view the hard, hard recovery battle Boosany has fought since a Palestinian suicide-bomber choose the bar she worked in as the place to blow himself up. She was standing by the bar, and the alcohol there ignited, burning her badly.

Even though she was given a less than 20 percent chance of survival, what will stay with you are not her burns, but her smiles. It is a window into a spirit that is the polar, and moral, opposite of the force that drove the Palestinian who disfigured her so.
