28% Of Americans Are Unhinged

A just-released Zogby poll tells us nearly a third of Americans are peopling the whacked-out far-left fringe. Well, it's not really what the poll shows, but it's just about the same thing:

The vast majority of American voters believe media bias is alive and well – 83% of likely voters said the media is biased in one direction or another, while just 11% believe the media doesn’t take political sides, a recent IPDI/Zogby Interactive poll shows.

The Institute for Politics, Democracy, and the Internet is based at George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Nearly two-thirds of those online respondents who detected bias in the media (64%) said the media leans left, while slightly more than a quarter of respondents (28%) said they see a conservative bias on their TV sets and in their column inches.

The media skew Right only to those who are far Left, specifically those who are anti-Capitalist and fret over corporate ownership of media. They seem to neglect the fact that many who have made billions in the media -- Ted Turner comes to mind -- are staked out as far on the whacko left as they are.

Actually, I should change the headline to read 39% of America is unhinged. The 11% who see no media bias don't have a hinge on their mental doorways, either.
