It Depends On How Strange Your Definition Of Strange Is

I had trouble getting past this lead of a Der Spiegel article about a failed terrrorist train bombing in Germany:

A leak from the investigation into a pair of unexploded bombs found on trains in Germany this week has produced a strange detail -- a bag printed in Arabic. German officials won't confirm anything, but the case has ignited a national debate about rail security.

What were they expecting? Pages from a bible? A bag printed in Swedish? Better to write:

A leak from the investigation into a pair of unexploded bombs found on trains in Germany this week produced confirmation of the obvious for anyone stupid enough to not immediately assume Islamofascist involvement in cruel and senseless acts of terror -- a bag printed in Arabic.

I know, I know. Investigators have to approach crimes with an open mind. But surprising? Not to me, anyway.
