Yale "Retarded" Over Taliban
Updated; see below.
When two Yale alums protested Yale's admission of a former Taliban official, they did it creatively. Disgusted alumns, they suggested, should give nothing to the University, sending in a red stick-on nail instead of a single red cent.
The fingernail, of course, was emblematic of the Taliban's habit of ripping out a woman's fingernails if they found a woman bold/foolish enough to paint her nails.
Here's the response the alumns got from Alexis Surovov, assistant director of giving at Yale Law School:
Update: Four of our soldiers died in Afghanistan yesterday, which make the absurdity of Yale's position all the worse. On Laura Ingraham today, Fund said that the Taliban in question, Sayed Rahmatullah Hashemi, got into the US because the US never recognized the Taliban, so it is not on our list of terrorist states; therefore, he did not get the scrutiny he would have gotten had he come from Syria or Iran. How stupid can our State Department be?

"What is wrong with you? Are you retarded? This is the most disgraceful alumni article that I have ever read in my life. You failed to mention that you've never contributed to the Yale Alumni Fund in your life. But to suggest that others follow your negative example is disgusting."John Fund has the goods, and they're good.
