Let's Offer Some Perspective

Leah Hodges is upset there were flies all over the place after Hurricane Katrina. And Patricia Thompson is convinced Katrina is all about racism because "the people that were left there mostly was black." (source)

Goaded on by Georgia Dem-Socialist Cynthia McKinney, these ladies testified at a special House hearing, and they didn't like it when they were cautioned not to compare post-Katrina evacuation centers with concentration camps.

Here's an idea. Let's send them on a junket! First stop, Pakistan. Let them count the flies there, and compare the quality of the emergency relief they got with what the Pakistanis got.

Next stop, North Korea, for aguided tour of one of that country's real-life concentration camps. Bad as the camps are, the visitors won't really get the sense of the place, because they'll be free to leave. But it might help them gain some much needed perspective.
