Watcher's Winners

The mystical Watcher's Council robes are back in the closet, the air has cleared of incense and the throat is still a bit scratchy from the incantations ... and the votes are counted. Here are the winners of this week's Watcher of Weasels blog-fest of the best blogging on the World Wide Web:

Just as I voted, Mandate Me Baby! from Rightwing Nuthouse came in first and Wolf Howling's Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and McCain Derangement Syndrome came in second. The former is as good a tutorial on universal health care as I've seen, picking apart the Clinton, Obama and McCain approaches. The latter's title speaks for itself, and the piece is quite good.

On the non-Council side, things did not go as I voted, although I'm happy with the results. Beldar Blog's Are We At War? And What Is the Political Consequence of that in this Year's Election came in first. It's a simple, but huge, question, and how America answers it will determine our next president.

A Michael Totten piece from Anwar and Faluja came in second. I didn't vote for it because it was pretty much boring, unlike his pieces before something remarkably peace-like started showing up in Iraq. That in itself is quite significant, which is probably why it came in second.

See all the rankings at Watcher of Weasels.

Thanks, Watcher, for another week of mind-aligning stuff.
