Us Vs. Them: The Count

If President Bush's speech on terrorists and intelligence flew by too quickly for you to get the details, here they are:

Detention and interrogation has led to the capture of:
  • Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, KSL, the top al Qaeda operative captured to date [right]
  • Ramzi Binalshibh
  • Zuber, of aQ's JI organization in southeast Asia
  • Hambali, also of JI
  • Hambali's brother
  • A cell of 17 JI terrorists
  • The two men running aQ's anthrax project
  • "The capture or questioning of nearly every aQ detained by the U.S. and its allies.
And the capture of these bad boys has led to:
  • Prisoner Zubaydah gave information that stopped an attack inside the U.S.
  • KSM gave information that stopped an attack inside the U.S.
  • Breaking up a planned attack on the Marine's Camp Lemonier in Djibouti
  • Breaking up a planned attack on the U.S. counselate in Karachi
  • Stopping plans to hijack planes and crash them into Canary Wharf -- London's World Trade Center -- and Heathrow Airport.
I personally don't care what they do to get information out of these thugs, but it's good that Bush finally laid the whole program out, that it's a more decent program by far than anything the bad guys have to offer, and that our prez will never bow to the wussy, limp-wristed liberal's pressure to coddle these creeps.
