Human Bird Flu Closer To Europe
BBC reports that one boy has died and two of his siblings are ill in the Eastern Turkish town of Dogubeyazit, near the Iranian border. The town is visible in the background of this photo, just above the old fortress.
The children live on a chicken farm and apparently ate an infected bird -- so this isn't a case of a mutation/migration of the virus -- but it's the closest it's gotten to Europe thus far.
Kentucky Fried Cruely.com best watch his butt the next time he breaks into a chicken farm on a PETA liberation action.
