Mugabe's Uranium Stash

Iran and North Korea must be happy indeed that fellow tyrant Robert Mugabe has found uranium under the soil of his poor, repressed Zimbabwen nation. The cohorts in the non-peaceful exploitation of uranium have been wooing Mugabe for some time, so trade deals are no doubt in the offing.

Mugabe, who of course cannot be trusted on even what color the sky is, said this of the discovery,

"We recently discovered uranium which is used for many purposes, including electricity generation.

"Uranium also makes nuclear bombs such as those which were used to massacre the Japanese at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That was sad indeed.

"But we will not use it to make bombs but to generate electricity.

"The discovery of uranium will go a long way in further enhancing the government rural electrification programme." (source)

How exactly Mugabe intends to come across a nuclear reactor and enriched uranium in order to fulfill his promise is a bit of a mystery.

A more likely scenario is that yellowcake will find its way into nasty, nasty hands in return for big payments which Mugabe will hide and squander as his country continues to struggle with electrical shortages.
