Operation Solider Helps Again

I wrote recently about Operation Soldier's Brotherhood of the Badge program and briefly mentioned its Patriot Down program. Here's an email I received about a recent undertaking of that program, which aids families of injured servicemen:
SSGT Michael Toews, Wounded Patriot

On October 1st, 2005 at 1313 hours, Staff Sergeant Michael Toews, of the Fresno, CA based 1/185th Infantry, 40th Infantry Division, California Army National Guard, attached to Active Duty Army, was severely wounded while directing fire during a skirmish just outside Baghdad Iraq.

Sergeant Toews was in command of his ten man detail when his M113 Armored personnel carrier was hit by an IED.

After stabilizing, Sgt. Toews was transported to Germany for follow-up medical evaluation and will be returning to the United States for recovery.

A member of the Operation Soldier group was able to personally speak to Sergeant Toews via cell phone, and found him to be in good spirits, with his only concern being the welfare and safety of his command and fellow soldiers.

A contribution of $1000 was made to Sergeant Toews wife, Cindy, so that she may travel to meet her husband at the earliest opportunity, without the worries of the initial financial burden.

Sergeant Toews is an example of what a true Patriot and defender of our Nation symbolizes. We at Operation Soldier hope and pray for his rapid recovery and return to good health.
Is anyone there? I think these guys are doing amazing work and I keep posting about them. I notice very few trackbacks -- please help me spread the word about their good work.
