LATimes Can't Find A Clue To Miers?
In a five-clicker of a story, the LATimes whines that there are few clues to the judicial philosophy of Harriet Miers.
Then the story -- reasearched by about ten LAT reporters and reserachers -- proceeds to languish over her conversion to conservative Christianity, her involvement in a church that supports conservative, life-centered values, and her dedication to George Bush. It quotes pastors, friends, her 30-year companion, attorneys she's worked with, all in an "Oh, what is she really like?" mode.
We know this drill. They can't bring themselves to write what's screaming in their minds -- "OHMYGOD! SHE'S A FLIPPIN' BIBLE-THUMPER!!" -- so they have to pretend they can't find a clue, while laying out clue after clue after clue, as if we didn't have a clue.
It's so sophomoric and predictable it's funny.
