Our Church's Extreme Makeover

Shiela Checkley is one of those people who gives so much she just forgets about herself. She helps her mom, raises her son and always has time to do more than just about anyone around our church, Stonecreek Christian. People and service are so important to her that her home just wasn't.

That's why some of the people in our church, including "Aunt Ro" Fox and Scott Shald in the photo above decided to give her home an extreme make-over. The transformation of the home was nothing short of astonishing.

We squired Shiela away for the two weeks it took to transform the home, and yesterday evening, she got to see it as 150 of us looked on and cheered. The joy in her eyes and tears on her cheeks told it all. I am constantly floored by the amazing giving that goes on in our church ... that's little church (us) and big church (all of us).
