Terrorists, Despots Vow Change

From Pyongyang to Damascus to Mosel to Khartoum, terrorists and despots around the world vowed yesterday to refrain from torture.

Issuing a letter signed by 27 leaders -- some high profile, some shadowy -- group spokesperson Al-Zarqawi said, "Antonio Gonzales' assurances to the US Senate yesterday that the United States is wholly opposed to torturing impressed and reassured us so much that we, too, are renouncing these brutal methods."

He continued, "My forces, which from now on will be wearing distinctive uniforms, will also now comply fully with the Geneva Conventions, beheading and raping only as allowed under those quaint and outdated accords."
