Muslim Gratitude? Muslim Generosity?

Dennis Prager was complimenting NYTimes columnist Thomas Friedman today, despite Friedman's incessant Bush-bashing, for understanding the stakes in Iraq. I looked all over for the column Prager was quoting from, but couldn't find it.

Here are the two take-aways:
  • If we think the Muslim world will stop hating us because we're doing so much good in Indonesia and other tsunami-ravaged Muslim countries, forget it. Friedman said correctly that much of recent US foreign policy -- and much of the blood our soldiers have spilled in the last decade -- has supported Muslims. If Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq haven't brought understanding and positive feelings, tsunamis won't either.
  • Saudi Arabia has now upped its tsunami relief to $30 million. That's less than a third of what King Faisal and his entourage spent on their recent vacation in Marbella.
