Weather Mavens Covering Up Screw Up?

NOAA, which recently reported that 2006 was the warmest year on record -- but also said it equalled 1988, so there's a fundamental error there -- is sticking by its projections for this winter.

Here is that projection:


Hmm. Blizzard-blitz Colorado warmer? Icy citrus Calfornia with an equal chance of being warmer than last year? That hardly seems to reflect our experience.

Boy this macro-climatology stuff sure is tough.
