The Terrorists That Don't Get Covered

Dead terrorists are the great untold story of the Global War on Terror. The press reports every US fatality and every car bombing in Iraq, but rarely will you see news of how many bad guys get killed or captured.

Thanks to the amazing Web site, Global Incident Map, here's a summary of some of the news you've been missing over the last few days:

• Jordanian Security Forces Kill al-Qaeda Suspect, Capture Another
• 25 Taliban militants surrender to Afghan gov't
• 15 Militants Arrested In Baghdad
• 50 militants reported killed in Iraq
• Iraqi Army Says It Killed 30 Militants

Just looking at Iraq, we've got reports of 80 insurgents killed and 15 arrested in just four days. If this pace is anything near normal, it's obvious that we're killing them at nearly 10 times the rate that they're killing us.

Does the media think we're not interested in this news? It's like they're reporting a football game by reporting only the scores the other team makes. No Pulitzers there.
