9th Circuit's Latest Outrage

"There is no fundamental right of parents to be the exclusive provider of information regarding sexual matters to their children . . . Parents have no due process or privacy right to override the determinations of public schools as to the information to which their children will be exposed while enrolled as students."
The quote above is direct from the decision of the most overturned court in America in Fields v. Palmdale School District, in which parents challenged the school district's right to ask elementary school students questions about sex in class. The decision appears to take away the opportunity for parents to "opt out" their kids from sex ed and sexual content in schools -- a right I have used periodically myself.

How quick the Ninth Circuit and other liberal judges and courts are to find fundamental rights that don't exist -- like the right not to hear the word God -- and to deny rights that are so natural you would think they are above question.

Having a decision like this come down as Judge Alioto is up for confirmation makes clear how important his confirmation is. The decision is likely to be appealed, and it must be struct down. Any originalist would strike it down in a heartbeat.
