The "Gaddafi Deal" For Assad

Here's the deal the Bush administration reportedly has offered Syria, now that the Assad regime is on the ropes on the eve of the UN report on the Rafik Hariri assassination:
  1. Cooperate fully with the investigation of the Hariri assassination, and turn over any suspects.
  2. Cease any further interference into Lebanese affairs.
  3. Halt planning, funding and training of Iraqi insurgents on Syrian soil.
  4. Stop support for terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad.
Syria's already hurting as allies like Saudi Arabia and France (great allies France has!) distance themselves from the renegade regime, and Bush is all over them, seeking to exploit the situation.

Not bad for a dumb cowboy. Gee, all I remember that bright Clinton fellow doing with Syria was considering sharing surveillance technology with them.
