Rescuers lifting submersible to let divers work

MOSCOW, August 6 (RIA Novosti) - Rescuers are trying to lift the stricken submersible to the depth of 30-50 meters to let divers work, Russian Navy Deputy Commander-in-chief Igor Dygalo said. "An MB-105 sea tug and a KIL-168 vessel have brought a loop under the bottom of the construction holding the AS-28 deep-sea vessel," he said. "Tows will lift the construction to 50-30 meters to let divers work."

URGENT: Submersible crew satisfactory

MOSCOW, August 6 (RIA Novosti) - The condition of the stricken AS-28 submersible crew is satisfactory, Russian Navy Deputy Commander-in-chief Igor Dygalo said following a regular contact with the crew at 3.55 p.m. Moscow time.He added that the Tiger unmanned deep-sea device helped fix the structure of the submersible and the antenna.
