Bolton: No Recess For Critics
So the president went ahead with a recess appointment for John Bolton to the UN Ambassadorship. (here) It really burns me that he didn't take my advice.
What's funny is to listen to the Dem comments:
Harry Reid: "[Bolton is] a seriously flawed and weakened candidate."
Ted Kennedy: "The recess appointment is] a devious maneuver that evades the constitutional requirement of Senate consent and only further darkens the cloud over Mr. Bolton's credibility at the U.N."
George Voinovich (yeah, yeah, I know he's technically a Republican): "I am truly concerned that a recess appointment will only add to John Bolton's baggage and his lack of credibility with the United Nations."
Anyone think for a moment any of these three are really the least bit interested in the integrity of Bush's appointment to the UN ambassadorship? They're a bunch of pots who have been busy painting the kettle black, so they can call it black.
