Churchill Buyout Stalls Because of Plagiarism Allegation
Buy-off talks between the University of Colorado and Ward-of-the-State Churchill have broken off because new allegations have come forward that Churchill is guilty of plagerizing more than his resume and artwork, Associated Press reports. AP also says the buy-out figure to end UofC's embarassment "may be less than $500,000."
The Rocky Mountain News puts the price at between $300,000 and $400,000 -- but that was before it reported Friday that Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia had accused Churchill of plagiarizing the work of one of its professors eight years ago. Churchill, as believable as a little Eichman on the stand at Nuremburg, denied the charge.
