Tsunami Fundraising

If we really wanted to raise some serious money to aid in tsunami relief efforts, President Bush could go one step beyond appointing his dad and Clinton as fundraisers.

Imagine the money that would be raised if this were set up as a Dem vs. GOP competition, with the party raising the most funds getting the bragging rights! Of course, holding a competition over something as important and sensitive as this cause is a bad idea ...

Meanwhile, where are Moore and Soros? I just did a Nexis search of all major English-language newspapers on the globe for either "Soros" or "Michael Moore" within 10 words of "tsunami" -- and got only one letter to the editor asking what I'm asking: Where are they? They don't appear to be the kind of guys who would give with humility and anonymity ... so are the mavens of the far Left just greedy, self-righteous individuals?
