Which Party Is It That Supports States Rights?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the GOP has traditionally favored states rights while the Dems have traditionally favored a big, powerful federal government that usurps the states' rights. My, my, how things get muddled:
There is no credible scientific evidence that auto exhaust has any significant effect on global temperature trends and patterns -- but there's plenty of evidence that a significant number of voters are prepared to follow Brown, like lemmings, over the global warming cliff.
California plans to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday for denying its first-in-the-nation greenhouse gas limits on cars, trucks and SUVs, challenging the Bush administration's conclusion that states have no business setting emission standards.Of course, this is all about Cal. Atty Gen Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown's desire to return to the governor's mansion on the We're All Gonna Die Hysteria ticket.
Other states are expected to join the lawsuit, which was anticipated after the EPA denied California's request Dec. 19. The lawsuit will be filed in the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. (Sac Bee)
