Ruskie Bomb Gives Me Jitters

Russia has exploded what it says is the world's most lethal non-nuclear bomb, capable of killing anything withing 1,000 feet of impact. See the brief video clip here.

It's a fuel air explosive bomb, but the Russians are calling it a vacuum bomb. Perhaps named after Putin's government.

We tend to think of Russia as a has-been, a crippled and destitute giant that fumbles between passiveness and fitful memories of past aggression. But watching the video of the sleek Tupolev Tu-160 strategic bomber dropping this device is a reminder that the Russian military remains hard working, expansionist and capable, at least at some level.

And watching the mini-mushroom explosion, we're reminded that Russia is not the most trustworthy of nations, and that there are Islamists with money searching for vicious weapons to unleash on us.
