Iran Fracturing?

This morning (an eon ago in blogosphere time, so sorry for the late report), NYT carried this quote in an article about increased opposition in Iran:
One senior Iranian official, who asked to remain anonymous because of the delicate nature of the issue, said: "I tell you, if what [Iran's leadership] were doing was working, we would say, 'Good.' " But, he added: "For 27 years after the revolution, America wanted to get Iran to the Security Council and America failed. In less than six months, Ahmadinejad did that."
Because revolution within Iran is one of the most hopeful ways to turn back the Iranian nuke-quest, this is an important story.

Left unacknowledged by NYT is the fact that our war in Iraq is putting relentless, unbearable pressure on the Iranian regime, and the cracks are beginning to show.
