Cheat-Seeking Missles

Good.

Two hard-left groups, the ACLU and the Center for Constitutional Rights are suing to stop the Bush administration's limited use of electronic surveillance on US residents who are yakking it up with folks who like to fly planes into buildings.

I say good, even though the injunction they seek represents a flashing neon sign to terrorists, proclaiming "Call now, plan now, bomb now!" It's a free country, and even the idiots are free to do idiotic things, but more important, it's time to hand this matter over to the courts.

For one thing, it may help keep it out of the hands of Congress (although with the Dems seeking ways to identify with terrorists and their sympathizers, that's unlikely). More important, having more clear case law in this area will be a good thing. Especially with the newly a-minting Bush Supreme Court.

You know how seditious the ACLU is, but are you curious about the Center for Constitutional Rights? Well, it was founded by William Kunstler (defender of El Sayyid Nosair, of World Trade Center I infamy), Arthur Kinoy (defender of Julius and Ethel Rosenburg) and two other attorneys, all of whom were/are longtime members of the Communist and radical left.

As such, the group is not interested in your rights, but they really sweat the details over Guantanamo prisoners and wannabe dirty bombers, the cost of prison phone calls, attempts to bring former black panthers to justice for killing cops, anything having to do with Israel , and the urgent need to support Cuba.

And that's just from the first two of 25 pages of issue reports on the CCR site. If you like what you're reading, send a letter of thanks to their big funder, the Ford Foundation.

These are the sorts of folks the Dems are allying with in their criticisms of the NSA program. Let the ACLU and the CCR paint the DNC with their radical, anti-American, pro-terrorist brush. After all, there's an election coming next year.
