DeLay Resignation: A Good Thing
AP just reported that Tom DeLay is going to resign his post as House Majority Leader. It reports:
This is good news for the GOP. It's not so much that new leadership is needed, but that the perception of staying with the same leadership as the Abramoff scandal unfolds will not be easily accepted by voters.
Who will come out as leader? These conferences result in odd results -- think Nancy Pelosi -- so it's at the guesswork stage now.

Tom DeLay decided Saturday to give up his post as House majority leader, clearing the way for new leadership elections among House Republicans eager to shed the taint of scandal, two officials said.Fox confirms the news, saying DeLay is asking for a conference to select a new majority leader.
