Killed By The Obvious

PC feminists have claimed another victim. Ad Age reports:
Creative legend Neil French resigned from WPP Group this week, following comments he made at a public address in Toronto that women with families aren’t as equipped as men to succeed in the advertising business.
For those not in the ad industry (that includes me), this is big news. French has been described as "the ad world's most awarded human being." Here's a portfolio of his work; I'm sure you'll see stuff you recognize.

I wonder how many of the women who flew into a tizzy over this actually have had a family. And of those who do, how many actually sacrificed their careers for their kids? The lady at the day care center is not exactly family.

Note that French did not say the women were any less talented or skilled. He simply acknowledged that men, whether they have families or not unfortunately, are better equipped to have the workaholic tendencies you need to succeed in a cutthroat business like advertising.

And what business isn't cutthroat, at least for those who are success-driven?
