NoKo Nuke Deal: One Step, No Trust
The North Korea nuclear breakthrough is good news at the start of the week -- and possibly the most positive outcome yet from the Iraq war.
It appears that pivotal to the deal was a statement from the US that it did not intend to attack NoKo unprovoked. Kim Il Jung and his cronies must have been very, very frightened by the images of Saddam Hussein in his spider-hole. Capitalizing on that fear and the leverage of the other five nations, we got a deal that apparently demands the NoKos stop their nuke arms program now, build trust, then get their prize for being good boys.
Not bad for a dumb cowboy, eh, Mr. Kerry?
