Sheehan Media Update

Sheehan's absense from Crawford may just kill this story, as coverage fell yesterday to just 103 hits, the lowest level since August 10. Many of the stories were negative, including the Crawfort backlash to the war protestors, and a story of a Utah TV station refusing to run an anti-war ad featuring Sheehan.

Note: Nexis does not provide a complete count. Video Monitoring Service had tracked over 20,000 Sheehan mentions by Aug. 17. Nexis is, however, a good indicator of how heaviliy the media is covering a story, and it focuses more on larger papers and network shows that more people read and view.
