Europe and the U.S. are on the same side on this one: Hamas is a terrorist organization. Rice, visiting Israel and Palestine on the eve of the troubling expulsion of Israeli settlers, is refusing to meet with Hamas. "There is an elected president and a government with which we are dealing," she said. "We are the government of the United States. This is the government of the Palestinian people."
