Who Would You Rather Have Sex With?
As my wife, 10-year-old daughter and I watched a movie on ABC Family -- that's supposed to be a family channel, in case you missed the subtlety of ABC's naming -- we heard the question, "Who would you rather have sex with, Cary Grant or Gary Cooper?" at nearly every commercial break.
The line was in a commercial for an upcoming ABC Family show based on the 1990s hit movie, "Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion." The new show is about Romy and Michelle's early years, and this is presented as a funny, normal question for young girls to ask each other, and even younger girls like my daughter, to hear.
ABC has decided not to join the other Big Three in a coalition to fight efforts to clean up network programming. They must feel there's no real threat to their smutmongering; they're so cocky they even make filthy family programming.
