Who's Really the New Hitler?

After all the Left's Bush/Hitler provocations that are so overwrought and nonapplicable, it was a little unsettling at first to hear Michael Savage compare the Dems opposing the Terri Schiavo bill to Nazis. (I don't usually listen to Savage because he's so, well, savage, but I was in Salt Lake City and he's all I could find on my way back to the airport.)

What was most interesting about the comparison was how Savage's presentation differed from the Left's Bush/Hitler presentations. They simply shout it, put it on signs and emblazon it on T-shirts. It's all emotion.

Savage, on the other hand, calmly presented a case of the progression of laws passed in Germany, starting in the mid/late 30's with mandatory sterilization of people with certain mental conditions, and showed how the legislative foot in the door, crafted by National Socialist Party attorneys and carried out by people with medical licenses, led to progressively more abhorrent laws. There was no baiting, although he made it clear he was addressing the primary Dem proponents of Terri's death.

They'll no doubt accuse Savage of hate speech, while they paint little Hitler mustaches on a few more photos of President Bush.
