The Benefits Of Instability

Reports of the death of al Qaeda in Iraq top (rabid junkyard) dog Abu Ayyub al-Masri' are intriguing, if still not confirmed.

The AP report, quoting Al Arabiya, says that al-Masri' died Monday in the Taji area north of Baghdad in a battle between Sunni tribal groups who have problems with AQI.

And here we thought only Shi'a killed Sunnis.

Is it instability of a prime order, as the Dems will claim, pushing their unique surrender strategy? Is it the surge working, as the military and GOP will claim, trying to avoid catastrophe? We'll leave it to the spin-meisters on both sides -- but this is clear: some other bloodthirsty, soulless lump of evil is ready to take al-Masri's place.

There is no end to the evil of jihad.
