Kos: We Need Rivers Of Blood

LGF directs us to a Kos Kontributor Raybin who's retiring in disgust, with a happy little goodbye post that says, in part:

It’s become more and more apparent to me over the past five years that all the activism and non-violent protesting in the world will do precisely squat. When you’re dealing with evil people who have no shame, the old rules of the game don’t and, indeed, can’t apply if you have any hope for success. Hundreds of thousands of people have marched, millions of letters have been written, tens of millions of votes cast, and hundreds of trillions of electrons expended pontificating on blogs...for nothing. Nothing has changed. Nothing will change. Not unless it comes in the form of something akin to the French Revolution.

We need terror. We need horror. We need the streets running awash in rivers of blood of these thugs and criminals and zealots. Activism didn’t prevent 60,000 deaths in Vietnam. All the activism of the Civil Rights era has gotten African Americans precisely nowhere. Segregation may not be the law of the land anymore, but it’s still the de facto state of America.

When y’all want to start throwing molotovs and sniping from windows come and talk to me. Until then, I will be content to retire, be a hermit, and laugh at everyone. Even then, I may still just feel like laughing as the world falls apart around me, but at least I’ll be willing to listen.

My mental state is collapsing and deteriorating almost daily. It’s so consistent you could practically graph it. My life is falling apart at an equally alarming rate, and yet I feel like doing nothing to salvage it. I feel like I’m standing at the bottom of one of the WTC towers, watching it come down on me, floor by floor, knowing I’ll be blown to atoms, yet unable to move.

Of course the anti-Democratic Left's failure can be encapsulated in one line from this vile rant, "tens of millions of votes cast..." The Left can only survive by clinging to the thought that it is wiser than the people, and that votes don't count in a Democracy.

Comment Count

With fear and trepidation, I dived into the 133 comments that followed this post.

Not a single comment slapped Raybin upside the head and said, in their quaint Leftist ways, "You sound like an f****** Islomofascist you s***." One poster said the whole revolution idea is bunk:
Revolution is hyperbole, and hyperbole that has lost its currency. "Start the revolution without me?" How about, "No, don't start a revolution morons, because people f-ing live here." And for that matter don't be resorting to that cesspit of thought, that rhetorical sewer, whether you mean it or not or indeed especially if you don't mean it.
But that's as critical as it got. No one questioned the basic hypothesis that it is OK to kill people to get your point across. Not a one.

On the other hand, people weren't exactly lining up to fight the revolution, either. Just two comments were posted along that line:
When the time is right, we'll start the revolution in the hills together. =

of course you're right. Nothing but personal mortal fear will change these people. No doubt about that. On the other hand, theirs is a pretty commonplace evil. They're not the first, they won't be the last -- not even as manifest here in the US. It's so banal, really.
Mostly, the posts looked at all this talk of blood and gore and violent revolution and made the logical conclusion: This guy's not obsessed, he's depressed. Many, many comments like these were posted:
So as much as I understand your frustration and sadness and feelings of defeat, I'll ask first of all if you're doing what you need to do to take care of yourself. Like, seeing a doctor? Getting medication? Because what you're describing is depression, and that can be at least partially treated. Also stick close to your friends, and just keep going. Wherever you are, just keep going.
But what depresses me is that so many read something that sounded like a tape released from al Qaeda and were perfectly content with it. The poor boy's a bit over the top ... he really shouldn't go beyond "gutters of blood;" this "rivers of blood" thing makes me think he's in need of some strong meds. That means they all agree: They're smarter, they know better, and if we don't accept that, they're willing to kill us to get their way.

Yikes.

At the very end, they got word that others are watching them, and they suddenly went into What? Us? Who? Oh, we're just kidding! mode.
LGF thinks you are serious and sincere!!!

Hence they consider you an inciter of terrorist violence.

Stupidest LGF comment ever? Naah, just par for the course. Now the IQ level of the LGFs has been absolutely verified as being somewhere below 20%. Note: this assumes that the LGFs' average age is more than 5 years.
