LAT Spins War Cost Report
After blogging on the recent study comparing the cost of various wars, I found this LAT headline from yesterday interesting:
Vietnam cost $531.5 billion to fight. To date, Iraq and Afghanistan has cost $252 billion. The LAT, of course, reported cost per day, not total cost, but that is not reflected in its headline.
Worse, the study grouped the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns, as it should. The LAT report attributes the costs to Iraq. It's not just sloppy, it's biased.
