Libs Tip Hand: It's All About The Courts

Ohmigosh! There's a Supreme Court vacancy!! A swing vote vacancy!!!

The Left is much more adither than the Right by O'Connor's retirement because, of course, they are utterly dependent on the courts and activist judges to execute their unpopular agendas.

Witness The Sierra Club:
Never before have the courts played such an important role in protecting our clean air, drinking water, and special places. And when it comes to appointing a new Justice of the Supreme Court, the stakes for the country could not be higher. Justice O'Connor's replacement could easily influence U.S. environmental policy for decades. The new Justice will help shape the law of the land and will have an extraordinary impact on the lives, liberties, and rights of all Americans, their children, and their grandchildren.
And NOW:
Justice O'Connor Resigns...
Women's Lives On The Line

NOW President Kim Gandy says, "With the resignation of O'Connor, George W. Bush will have the opportunity to replace a justice who has often made the difference in the preservation of essential rights with an anti-woman justice who could influence the court's decisions for the next 40 years."
What? Nothing about her being the first woman on the court? No commentary about how routine it is now for women to succeed without having a bunch of strident feminists rallying and railing around them? (h/t to Rush for that angle.)

No, that's not the agenda. Protecting their slim minority -- that's the agenda!
